Just did my part by zapping you some sats.
FWIW, Here are the settings I used to get my bitaxe working on your pool: * Stratum address: solo.ckpool.org * port: 3333 * Username: 3Gk1GfP3bHA6M2ZzK5mHdqbWN1iNsqAenH.your worker name * Password: X
Yup, it’s a deep fake, and a bad one at that. Here’s the actual clip: https://youtu.be/kA3jQA6Dn4w?si=ousppr_u3Yrl-9bq&t=435
That worked, thanks!
Why is knots a fork rather than another implementation of the same consensus rules?
Tried pointing my bitaxe at your pool, but didn’t work. Don’t know what to put for the stratum password…
Really? You gotta apply? Seems like a lot of friction.
Fuck yeah Jack! This is the way.
Ok so now I need to read the article so I can give an intelligent response. Half way through...
Thanks!
You missed one, the best one--the scientific method. Reproducing the results yourself.
Saylor in the background is a bit ironic.
You'd think the announcement of a BSR would have done it, but no. Fucking markets.
He says publishing wallet addresses is like publishing your family's home address. Sounds like someone needs a refresher course on public-private key encryption.
Agreed, Nostr will eventually be cluttered with noise as well. BUT, at least no one can ever be censored across the board , unlike X, Favebook, Bluesky, TikTok, etc. Nostr guarantees freedom of speech, for humans, bots, and troglodytes alike.
Even someone who makes a sound argument?
Thanks for the concise explanation
Publishing wallet addresses is like publishing your family's home addresses. Huh. Sounds like someone needs a refresher course on public-private key encryption.
Time for some QE. Warm up the money printer.
...and great video. I just smash bought some extra BTC
It's all part of the simulation.
Heroic
LFG!
Shouldn’t we be using beef tallow words?
What are haven relays?
In your opinion, do AML laws do much to stop actual crime? If we didn't have them at all, would there be a big spike in crime?
Agreed. You’d think a hardcore bitcoiner like NVK would be loathe to make such a petty intellectual property claim. Seems very fiat.
So I’m as against outing Satoshi as anyone. And I have tremendous sympathy for Peter Todd who, Satoshi or not, is now in danger of both physical harm from criminals and frivolous lawsuits from bitcoin haters. I hate to say it, but I think the case made by the HBO documentary for Todd being Satoshi was pretty compelling. And Todd’s on-camera response didn’t help any. I combed through today’s criticisms of the documentary hoping to read something legitimately discrediting, but so far no one has presented any actual facts that debunk the documentary’s claim that Todd is Satoshi. Why does it matter if people think Todd is Satoshi? Because Satoshi owns a ton of bitcoin which could rock the market and sentiment if they moved. If Satoshi destroyed all copies of the keys, good on them, but in that case, they should have burned them instead so that we all knew without a doubt that those coins could never move again. If Satoshi didn’t destroy the keys, I really hope they burn most of their coins for the sake of us all.
So is SHA256 in jeopardy any time soon?
