Wish I had been smart enough to ask him to buy me something. The Gaza War is particularly gruesome, I suspect, because it's like a highly concentrated Afghanistan situation. Relatively small, but hypertrained and hypermechanized forces, on the one hand. And all within a tiny, entrapped territory, so that the civilians have nowhere to safely hide from the carnage and can't get away. Just drags on and on and on... Ukraine is also dragging on, but the two sides are more evenly-matched.
