I'm making my first post here. To be honest, I only learned about Nostr yesterday, so this is all very new to me.My name is Sarah, I'm 43, and I'm writing this from Germany. I came here looking for what I hope will be a more genuine kind of social media, a place for real conversations.My path to this corner of the internet, and to Bitcoin, has been a recent one. It started with me questioning the financial system we live in. I think many can relate to the feeling that no matter how hard you work, saving anything of real value is a constant uphill battle against taxes and rising costs.My personal situation made this feeling even more clear. As a single mother who has dealt with significant health issues, building up any savings just wasn't an option. My focus was simply on getting by and surviving. This experience really made me think about fairness and how our current system doesn't seem to reward hard work, but rather favors those who already have capital.That's what eventually led me to Bitcoin.
