if no one writes relay code, but theoretical NIPs that are ditched and replaced by the next NIP github is full of dead projects using Nostr?

I just tried #nostr , its cool and i like the concept, but why are there no good #relays that are actually in healthy development... like strfry is basically dead an everyone is using it... the most active i found by scaping github is https://hornet.storage and there are just 3 devs? damn...
