I run all my bitcoin stuff on my start9. It has an LLM hosted on it but it does not have a gpu (or a weak one, I do t remember the specs) so now I’m hosting an LLM on my main machine, which is much beefier

I’ll continue to say this, even if it’s unpopular - big tech companies running LLM models have a strong incentive to turn this tech against you. It can and will be used to change behaviors, if you let it. Use models and/or providers that are verifiably private by default. Run a model locally, if you can.

I’ve been running a local model and it’s definitely not as good, but good enough for more sensitive prompts.

All of the training data includes i code, because most people don’t write secure code. It’s true that AI is assisting in finding vulns, but they’re typically the more obvious injection and misconfiguration type bugs. They’re not the more subtle, logic based bugs that tend to exist. I expect those to be much bigger impact longer term, because they’re very easy to write, hard to detect, but typically relatively easy to exploit (once you’ve done the hard work to identify them)
