Attention HodlHodl — this isn’t a one-off mistake. This is a direct betrayal of Bitcoin’s philosophy. You lose your 2FA. Normal. Human. What does HodlHodl do? → Charges you $250 in BTC to “investigate” → Forces you through KYC (yes, KYC on a supposed P2P exchange) → Asks you to trace an old address with a $5 test transaction → Makes you sign a legal document → And tries to silence you by saying you can’t share the email Let’s call it what it is: This is NOT Bitcoin. This is traditional banking dressed up as cypherpunk. Bitcoin was created to avoid exactly this. To remove intermediaries. To eliminate permission. To protect identity. And yet here they are… Monetizing user mistakes. Forcing KYC where it doesn’t belong. Turning account recovery into a business model. The worst part isn’t the money. It’s the precedent. If you accept this… you accept that anyone controlling access can “legally” extort you. Today it’s $250. Tomorrow it’s whatever they decide.
