Prediction: This all ends with the average person using social media (nostr) to follow/interact with only a couple hundred people who they also meet with IRL. There are very few large accounts and almost no one makes a living from social media content. Basically, a very long road to end up with an improved version of how life was before the internet.

There’s a hundred reasons they could have sold now besides having insider knowledge of the future. I wouldn’t overthink that as a battle hardened top signal. I do plan to buy every top for the next ten years though, so I don’t overthink any of it.

Many bitcoin OGs are broke. Imagine the frustration seeing all that missed opportunity. Of course they’re going to be open to being paid to influence new changes. Or, just want changes that once again allow them to be early. It’s not fair that bitcoiners who came much later have more bitcoin than them. Understandable, but also why it is foolish to defer to someone’s opinion just because they were an OG.
