Reason to homeschool #4,678,942: We want Halloween to be a fun, inclusive, and safe day for everyone! To help make the day enjoyable for all students, please follow the costume guidelines below: Comfort and Mobility: Costumes should be comfortable and allow students to move freely. Students will participate in normal school routines and spend time on the playground, so costumes should be practical for an active school day. No Weapons or Violent Themes: Costumes may not include toy weapons or items that resemble weapons (such as swords, guns, or knives) or depict violence, including fake blood. No Scary or Gory Costumes: Costumes should not be overly scary or gory. Costumes involving blood or other frightening elements are not permitted, as they may frighten younger students. No Masks or Full-Face Paint: Masks that cover the face and full-face paint are not permitted for safety reasons. Staff need to be able to easily identify students at all times. Respectful and Inclusive Costumes: Costumes should not depict, imitate, or objectify a culture, religion, or group of people. Costumes should also not portray individual students or staff members at our school. Classroom-Friendly Accessories: Costumes should not include sound effects, lights, or other components that may distract from or disrupt the classroom learning environment.
