2 fast food restaurants: The first "Wants to do what they love" the other "Learns to love what they do" 🌮 Taco Bell employees: Most of them are clearly doing this job because they have to, or until they can do what they actually love. You can feel the energy is elsewhere when you walk in, sluggish and distracted. 🍔 In-N-Out employees: They LOVE what they do. Their dream was never to be a world class burgers chef, but there is something about this place, maybe the owners or the culture, that lets them actually be present in what's in front of them. They have learned the art of loving whatever is immediately put in front of them. The Taco Bell employees, through no fault of their own, have been put in an environment that makes this more difficult The In and Out employees enjoy the camaraderie, the action, and doing great work for the sake of work. Both are in the same job category. One produces people trying to escape. One produces people who showed up.
