Got to thinking about it 20-25 years ago when I worked summers on a land survey crew we’d be doing surveys for housing developments with instructions to measure trees and mark anything over a certain diameter on the plat so they could design the neighborhood around the trees. These days they just clear cut and moonscape it all. Progress I guess.
