We’ve been watching Quantum Leap and Sliders again — fun throwbacks.

I tried to help another builder with a gap analysis and it now automatically hides every comment I make on the platform. The algos were useful for a time to learn but the moment I started opening my mouth about ideas the vibe shifted.

We are getting juiced by media fnords on both generational sides to assume greed is a motivator, when often just some sub par family communication would clear things up. Polarization wins again.

When trying to build a network, it’s become clear that something like nostr gives a repair path, where a platform like X asks you to adapt to an unknown rule or face throttling of your identity. That is the exact issue we are facing IRL right now with digital identity if it becomes centralized with government and finance. We will be forced to guess at our actions for eternity through every communicable moment, trying to keep up with the sliding scale of what the machines are asking of us without an opportunity for clarity if we choose wrongly, just suffering of the consequences. I don’t think I want to keep guessing and policing my innate communication strategies for eternity… Algos don’t like friendly responses, they groom you to turn opportunities for friendship into a negotiation at a time where people are the most yearning for connection. Integrity becomes clear when we realize it’s not really a game worth playing. Regenerative fields are here (but still quiet) and those are the paddocks to graze more often.

Guys like you put so much in and have high standards for yourself. I like it when you take breaks when they are needed. More men need to see men giving themselves grace in certain zones of life to allow growth in others that are showing spark. 🔥

Farm pilling. A lot of resources and time are needed to get rolling in homesteading. It can be done over decades affordably like we did, but I don’t think the next decade looks like the last one. I don’t know how one could feel free without sovereign & community food access. But the market doesn’t shout that people think like me so I’m sure they feel just fine. 😅
