There Justin uses a Fender Precision and the sound is quite clean, Im guessin a clear DI with compression etc. He uses a 1963 Precision.

I'm also team precision bass. I just bought a Warwick Streamer from the 90s yesterday, PJ pickups, I love their buzz and growl. Roscoe are great too. Mid growl does wonders in the mix.

Fretless cool thing, I don't currently own one, but had one - the lack of frets allows for a nice sound experiment, with delays, reverbs etc. Do you play bass?
