I love cowboy culture. All that fast riding, yeehawing and calf roping is fun to watch but I'll tell you what I like more. Watching @tbone walk into a paddock and yell "hey cows, come on cows!" And they just all quietly follow along and peacefully step towards whatever he needs to do with them that day. We highly value low stress stock handling at our place. #farmstr #homesteading

Today I learned that you can pour the layer of whey from your homemade yoghurt into your sourdough starter to boost the lacto fermenting bacteria population.

I would love to get a donkey Do they get lonely when you only have one and would cattle be suitable company for them? Do they serve any purpose at your place? We have a rule that everyone must pay rent... Although we have a couple of ducks who arent laying at the moment but we are giving them a free ride for now.
