A thread regarding my thoughts about the social-psychological Need for a „StableCoin“ and how I imagine it could work. In hopes to exchange my thoughts with other Plebs I’ll start throwing them into my non existent Followership. Maybe some smarter people than I can help me verify, contradict or build on that idea.

But how do we emit this kWh pegged StableCoin? As I said, as far as I was able to go through this with GPT, it's possible to create an on chain energy index usage via a merge mined side chain. With this this SideChain could emit 1 "kWh-Token" for every kWh that actually went into the bitcoin Network without the need to trust a third party. So in the End, if you buy your Cheese in the Supermarket, the pricetag will show 1500 kWh for the cheese, you pay those in kWh token, but the settlement in the background will be done in sats.

So what if we decide to use kWh as the new denominator for everything? As far as I was able to discuss this with ChatGPT we are already technically able to determine how much energy the Network has used since the Genesis block so we're able to say for example 1kWh are x-amount of satoshis. In a society and economy that is heading towards full electrification, the production chain of every product will become more and more transparent in regards of how many physical kWh have been used to produce this product. So the Price of the product will consist of: Actual physical kWh used from start to finish + Actuall physical kWh used by the humans involved in the production chain of that product (kcal can be converted into kWh) + The Time these people spent on that production. Consequently this leads to an open Market for lifetime, leading to a society that values quality time instead of consumerism.

So I get the social and psychological Need for a StableCoin if we want to get to mass adoption. People prefer a Stable number on the price tags when buying their daily needs. A Stats number that changes every few seconds doesn't help here. Now as Bitcoiners we understand the stupidity of centralized issued Coins like Tether and we don't get us started on projects like TerraLuna. So which denominator could could be used that can be represented by Satoshis but also have a connection to the physical World?
