This was the expectation vs what was known to the public. They could finally count the btc appreciation as revenue but everyone knew they had it already. Earnings numbers rarely move stock, forward looking expectations from the company gets things moving.

The dollar market cap is irrelevant because all of the money in the current system is permanently stuck. The ~300 trillion in housing or whatever the number is will never come over, it's fake wealth.
