Real bitcoiners spend their bitcoin. They don't just sit on them waiting for the next cycle. They use them for things that last, that hold value, that reflect the way they've chosen to live. REFRAIN proof-of-work in progress... Today I worked on the light and the overall atmosphere. I used the palette knife more than usual, it's not new to me, but every time it gives me the same feeling: freedom of gesture. Less control, more natural results. It's risky, things can go wrong. But when it works, you can tell. Not finished yet.

This is what publishing infrastructure should look like: portable, reliable, independent. Very good 💪

I watched it all when it came out. The first few seasons are gripping, but then it gets a little boring towards the end.

It doesn't seem logical to me. Updates often bring new features or improvements, so why should I deprive myself of them?

Bitcoin e NOSTR, al di là della tecnologia, per me rappresentano soprattutto questo: la possibilità di riprendersi tempo, pensiero e sovranità. Non risolvono tutto, ma aprono una porta. E forse non possiamo “convincere” gli altri. Possiamo solo vivere in modo coerente con ciò che abbiamo capito, aspettando che qualcuno inizi a farsi domande da solo.

I’ll most likely carry on using Wisp even if I have to enter my nsec, but this change of direction really rubs me up the wrong way. All you developers have constantly been telling us not to put our nsec everywhere and to use tools like Amber, and now you’re changing tack. Of course, there are plenty of other Nostr clients one can use, but I like Wisp and I’ve been getting all the normies I know to use it alongside Amber because I’ve explained to them the importance of their own nsec key. How am I supposed to explain to them that with the next Wisp update, it won’t be like that anymore?

Being early is heavy. I sell my paintings only for Bitcoin. Not because I have absolute certainty, but because I can no longer ignore what I’ve seen. Those who understand the importance of Bitcoin often don’t feel privileged: they feel out of time. Understanding Bitcoin does not mean having arrived. It means having arrived early. And arriving early is uncomfortable: it makes you lonely, exposes you to doubt, and forces you to question rules many still believe are eternal. Bitcoin is not a religion, nor a shortcut. It is a hard tool that demands study, discipline, and responsibility. The truth is this: understanding Bitcoin does not make you special. It makes you responsible. Responsible for continuing to study. Responsible for not mythologizing it. Responsible for accepting that you might also be wrong. Perhaps the only real privilege is having sensed, before others, that the rules of the game were never immutable.
