The agent asks to renew → receives an L402 challenge → pays from its connected wallet → returns proof of payment → gets 30 more days. No card. No checkout page. No human needed at payment time unless the operator’s budget policy requires approval. MCP 2.1.0 adds: renew_lightning_enable_subscription The operator remains in control of the wallet and spending rules.
