self custody might be a solution, but if we don't use our bitcoin (creating a bitcoin based economy) then it's dead. however, when I spend my sats to a merchant, I'll never know if he'll stack them or sell them on an exchange for fiat. so, no, I don't have a good idea to fight back either 😕
