Movies: War Dogs (2016) Loosely based on the true story of two young men, David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, who won a three hundred million dollar contract from the Pentagon to arm America’s allies in Afghanistan. I learned about this movie after watching a short documentary by fern and it was an enjoyable watch. A good insight into American corruption and money spending that will once remind you that country doesn’t have universal healthcare. Four popcorns. To see all 18 photos, visit the article page. Movies: The Pentagon Papers (2003) Defense worker Daniel Ellsberg seeks to publish a series of classified government documents detailing the true nature of America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. Good TV movie starring James Spader, Claire Forlani, Paul Giamatti and Alan Arkin about the Pentagon Papers, a report about the US involvement in the Vietnam War. Four popcorns. Movies: Cravata galbenă // The Yellow Tie (2025) The extraordinary life of Sergiu Celibidache. From his childhood in Romania, to his exile in pursuit of a career in music, his struggle for survival in wartime Germany and his rise, fall and rise again, in an unimaginable life journey. Strong biopic regarding one of the great conductor of all times, directed by the protagonist’s son. While not having a very famous cast (except the great John Malkovich as Sergiu Celibidache and some appearances by Sean Bean as his father), the acting is top notch, the writing is done well, and it manages to keep you at the edge of the seat for the entire two and a half hours while it lasts. Six popcorns and it goes into the Movie Vault. To see all 16 photos, visit the article page. Movies: People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan (2021) Kurupt FM, innit. The rest is irrelevant. After Brentford’s largest pirate radio station has ended, the boys from Kurupt FM find their way to Japan on an epic adventure in search of fortune and fame. A good ending to the story of Kurupt FM and its members. All in all, a good laugh, and although it could have been better, it’s a great entertaining flick. Four popcorns. Movies: Chaplin (1992) An elderly Charlie Chaplin discusses his autobiography with his editor, recounting his amazing journey from his poverty-stricken childhood to world-wide success after the ingenious invention of the Little Tramp. Oh, what a great movie! I have no idea this even existed, so the moment I learned about it, I instantly got it and watched it, and oh boy, it’s so well made! Filled with stars in great roles, it’s a great piopic. Seven popcorns and goes into the Movie Vault. To see all 21 photos, visit the article page. Movies: Ali G Indahouse (2002) Ali G unwittingly becomes a pawn in the Chancellor’s plot to overthrow the Prime Minister of Great Britain. However, Ali is embraced by the nation as a voice of the youth, making the PM and his government more popular than ever. Fun to rewatch this before the new one is out, it’s a nice reminder of a time when movies were raunchy, yet still funny. Nice a throwback, four popcorns. To see all 30 photos, visit the article page. Movies: Ali G: Who Iz I? (2026) When Ali G discovers that his long-term girlfriend is 8 months pregnant, he ends his 20 year nap and heads to America to reclaim his former glory and earn some “cashmoney”. This turns out to be far from the formality he expected. Wicked! Wicked! The movie changed into a mockumentary and it tries to feel realistic, but also is over the top, which is pretty confusing. It’s a weird mix between The Office and Jackass, and it has some stronger and some weaker moments. It gets 2 popcorns though because it tries to jab at some of USA’s descend into madness. Also Ali G looks a lot like Adam Sandler, wtf. To see all 4 photos, visit the article page. Movies: People Just Do Nothing (2014-2018) A mockumentary series about a group of failed MCs from West London and their passion for pirate radio. Extremely funny when taking in small doses, it feels like a neighbourhood variant of The Office. It’s funny at times, retarded at times, but it does a great job at entertaining. Five popcorns.
