Hey nostr, we're suffering thru the dog days now, 100F again. And we lost power again! Luckily only for an hour this time. The power company's excuse this time was that a tree fell on a line. But this morning we went to the resale shop and found a nice little rolling table/island thing. I think I want to use it as a coffee bar, maybe. A good find for $30. So besides the outage this afternoon, it was still a good day. Y'all have a good evening nostr friends. #homesteading #grownostr

Hey nostr our power came back on after almost 2 hours, but i'm just happy its back. Was starting to get pretty warm in the house. Its kinda scary to think about how dependent most of us are, on something that can be shut off any time. We've thought about getting some solar backup one of these days, and we have used our generators for the freezers in the past. Something to think about anyway. I did some watering of trees today, and also just the regular work around here. Oh, and i've been thinking we might want to go to one of the btc conferences one of these days too, we'll see. The ground beef meals i cook lightly, the rabbit raw. Plus i feed raw eggs regularly.

I make batches of dog food using the cheapest ground beef i can find, then add scrambled eggs (from our chickens), and some organ meats. We also feed them raw rabbit meat when we have some.
