It starts with appearance and smell. If he’s not willing to do basic grooming it doesn’t look so great. If he smells like he doesn’t brush his teeth or wear deodorant it’s kind of gross. To me, those are basics. If you aren’t doing that, I can imagine other parts of you smell worse. If he’s a smoker it’s a no. But, a dirty shirt isn’t a deal breaker for me. It’s likely from working a job. That’s an attractive trait for me. I love a bigger man than I am in size and one with broad shoulders. Someone capable of protecting myself and our children. Personality-wise, if it’s found he has no sense of humor; I’ll walk. If he can’t make fun of himself or see the humor in the darkest of times; unattractive. If he’s not principled or hasn’t put the time in to develop principles I find that unattractive. If he isn’t consistent on his word, makes promises he can’t keep or flakes; no thank you. He must understand respect and civility towards a prospective wife/mother of his children and be willing to protect them and secure their future. Before I dive into a rabbit hole, I know every woman has different standards when it comes to overall attractiveness. I’m attracted to very traditional traits, but I’m also more demanding in certain romantic gestures and intimacy. I do love a romantic. The men who are unattractive to me are men who are complete opposite to my husband. I’ve been very blessed. But, the few men I’ve had the honor of knowing in my young adulthood were all nearly worthy of my gifts and fit reasonably well into my standards and I hope I did as well for them. Until I met my Jack; who was a perfect fit.
